Friendly with Skype spammers

Yesterday i got spam message on Skype and i was angry because of that and i heavily insulted guy 
Today i got spam message again from him but i started to talk with him. It turned out that he is ok guy.
Now i must research how to protect myself from Skype spamming.
Probably first step is to:
Click Tools -> Options -> Privacy.
Check Only allow people in my Contact list to contact me.
Click Save.
